"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I Thessalonians 5:18
Expressing gratitude and being thankful are an important part of healing prayer. Gratitude to God for all that he does for us helps bring blessings and healing.
"I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving." Ps 69:30
"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." Ps 100:4
"Give us this day our daily bread." From the Lord's Prayer.
We are grateful, thankful, blessed!
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into God's presence with singing!
Know that the Lord is God!
It is he that made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him, bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures for ever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
Mary Baker Eddy asks us in Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures: "Are we really grateful for the good already received? Then we shall avail ourselves of the blessings we have, and thus be fitted to receive more."
From the chapter on Prayer in Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures.
"Gratitude is much more than a verbal expression of thanks. Action expresses more gratitude than speech." Mary Baker Eddy
