Being thankful is healing!
The 23rd Psalm is a comforting reminder of God's blessings and all we have to be thankful for.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence in mine enemies: thou annointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over.
By counting our blessings we can recognize that we are seated at His table and blessed with food and protection. God serves our table and provides for us no matter what, because He is our shepherd and His love is unending. He protects us from harm and gives us more than we need if we rely on Him.
Want to hear more?
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalms 23:1-3
In this Psalm we are led by still waters and guided to peace. There is so much good in the world, and recognizing this can bring us improved health and happiness. Sharing gratitude with others can also bring a sense of community and strength.
